Ribbons and Champions are Part of Our Success
From the outset, Alpacas at Lone Ranch invested in the finest and well known bloodlines and it has paid off in the show ring with many ribbons and championships.
Bloodlines
Don Julio Barreda's world renowned "Accoyo Peruvian herd" is widely recognized as the single finest in the world. The herd of Alpacas at Lone Ranch proudly includes animals whose bloodlines can be traced directly to the Accoyo ranch.
They include offspring of
- “Accoyo Yupanqui” – the #1 pick from the entire 1996 Peruvian Importation
- “Accoyo Royal Fawn” – the 1999 U.S. National Get of Sire Champion and one of the highest priced male alpacas ever sold in the United States
- “Accoyo Ruffo”
- "Accoyo El Moustachio" selected by Mike Safley of Northwest Alpacas to be one of the premier herdsires in the nation.
In 2006, we added 10 First Place Ribbon winner, 1st place Get of Sire and Color / Reserve Champion Derwydd Peruvian Inti-Sapa to our line-up of herdsires.
